A true California native, PJ was born in SoCal and grew up in downtown San Francisco where his affinity for graffiti and letter forms was born. He spent his earliest years beautifying the local Muni transit system, before a show at the SFMOMA catapulted PJ into the world of fine art. PJ studied in illustration and computer animation at the Maryland Institute College of Art under the wings of J. Abbott Miller of Pentagram and Ellen Lupton. 

PJ went on to develop his repertoire of commercial, music video, live action and digital media work at design + animation studio Laundry! co-founded with longtime friend Anthony Liu. With the goal in mind of telling interesting stories through diverse approaches, the Laundry! teams projects have took on the approach of stop motion, live action, 2d and 3d animation, as well as traditional cel animated pieces. They once even created a braveheart reenactment out of gummy bears. Current and frequent collaborators include collaborations with Nike, G-shock, Facebook/Instagram, Google, Honda and Intel among many others.
